I took this photo during a really dark period I went through a while back. I was taking care of my best friend who was really sick with HIV. He is doing much better now. At the same time I was struggling with the chance I was positive as well.
The photo reminds me of being innocent and playful. The black and white reminds me of those dark times

What a powerful metaphor for life. It reminds me of that saying that what we loose on the swings, we gain on the merry- go- round, or something like that. Definitely works well in B/W, I don't think it would have the same impact in full colour.
